Research and Development
SiliconDev has set up a Business Unit dedicated to researching and developing new technologies that combine Hardware and Artificial Intelligence, considering it strategic to position itself on the global market in Avionics, Defence, Robotics and Info Mobility.
We are constantly looking for new solutions to improve and simplify the use of technology in everyday life.
Among its projects of public benefit, the SiliconDev R&D Team has developed devices that extend the environmental monitoring systems already available to government and local authorities, in particular:
- Advanced sensors for analysing and preventing forest fires, adopted in the ADAM DSS system and currently in use in several locations in the Puglia and Calabria regions;
- Sensors placed strategically on snowy mountain ridges which, together with software also developed by the R&D Team, can predict avalanche risk (Abruzzo region).
